What We Offer
Training Built Around How You Move
Every service at San Diego Biomechanics is rooted in the same principle — your body works as an integrated system, and that's how we train it. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all movement. Every body has a different history, structure, movement patterns, and goals. That’s why your training should be built around you. We assess how you move and tailor your training to your individual needs—adapting as your body and movement evolve. Because meaningful change starts with understanding the individual, not following a formula.
Service 01
Comprehensive Gait & Posture Assessment
Where Your Movement Journey Begins.
Your Functional Patterns journey begins with a comprehensive gait and posture assessment designed to give us a deeper understanding of how your body moves as a whole.
We look at posture, gait, balance, coordination, and movement patterns to identify areas where your body may be compensating or working inefficiently. The assessment provides the foundation for an individualized training curriculum, guiding your future 1:1 sessions and allowing us to track your progress over time.
What to expect
- History & Data Collection: Physical, behavioral, and movement history.
- Posture & Gait Capture: Photos and video of your posture and gait.
- Movement Analysis: Assessment of movement patterns and compensations.
Service 02
1:1 Training
Focused, individualized training that addresses the root cause.
Your one-on-one sessions are built directly from what your assessment reveals. Every exercise, every cue, every progression is chosen because it addresses your specific movement patterns — not a generic program applied to everyone.
Working one-on-one means your practitioner is fully present — observing how you move, adjusting in real time, and ensuring each session builds on the last. You get the depth of attention that produces real, lasting change.
As your movement evolves, so does your program. We track your progress against your initial assessment and adapt your training accordingly — always moving toward greater function, less pain, and more capability.
What to expect
- Training tailored precisely to your assessment findings
- Real-time coaching and individualized feedback every session
- Progressive programming that adapts as your body changes
- Measurable improvement in posture, gait, and pain reduction
Service 03
Group Classes
Train with others. Move with intention.
Our group classes bring the principles of Functional Patterns into a structured, coach-led environment. Sessions are designed to develop the foundational movement qualities that carry into everything you do — posture, gait, strength, and coordination.
Classes are kept intentionally small so every participant receives meaningful attention. Our practitioners provide individual modifications and cues throughout, ensuring the work is appropriate and effective for each person in the room.
Group training is an opportunity to build consistency, deepen your understanding of movement, and develop alongside a community of people committed to the same principles. It's structured enough to produce results — and varied enough to stay engaging.
What to expect
- Functional Patterns methodology in a community setting
- Individual modifications within a group format
- Consistent practice of Functional Patterns principles
- Small class sizes — focused coaching for every participant

Every Client Starts with a Movement Assessment
Before we train, we observe. A comprehensive gait & posture assessment lets us understand exactly how your body moves, where dysfunction is occurring, and what your training needs to address.
